Ways of making Equus and Passes
Sometimes we're all a little hard up on equus and passes, and most of us can't afford to buy passes. This page will guide you through some ways of earning these, quickly and easily! [I am in the process of updating this page; expect more to come!]
Equus
→ Save up your existing equus
Yes, save up - don't spend a fortune on promotions you know you're never going to win, don't buy that RC or DA you've always wanted, don't buy the pass every 30 days from the pass page. Have some self control! Saving up takes patience, but you will reap the rewards afterwards! Save up to buy horses that will make you money later on, as I detail below.
→ Save up droppings and apples
Don't waste giving apples to random horses, or giving away random droppings - keep them! When you find yourself tight on money, or need a little extra cash, just sell your stock of droppings or apples. Over time, your stocks will build up, especially if you care for your horses every day. The prices are also pretty high - 3e per apple or droppings. This may not sound like much, but if you had 1 million droppings, that's 3 million equus, and seeing as you don't pay anything for droppings, that's pretty good!
→ Sell anything you don't need
You may, like me, be a hoarder. I hate selling anything, even if I never use it and never will. But what's the point of keeping it, if all it's going to do is just sit there? Sell any tack, any mash, anything that you no longer use. This will also bring in a bit more money. But NEVER sell aging points - every single one is precious! Also, try not to sell turnips, as they're very useful when BLUPing and training your horse.
→ Buy cheap horses
You can buy many cheap horses in the sales, especially in the auctions. Buy the cheapest horses you can and sell them for a little bit more later on - this is called flipping. Normally, you only get a very small profit from this, but if you see a really good bargain in the sales, you can sell it for lots more later on. You can also buy very young, good GP horses, BLUP them, and sell them on when they're fully BLUPed. Even if you don't end up using the horse, you can put it in your AP farm. Remember that your general ranking goes up the more horses you have, so whatever you decide to do with your new horse, it's win-win!
→ Offer to train/BLUP/skill horses for a fee
It's very easy to learn how to BLUP/Bold/Skill horses, and if you have the time and patience you can do this for other players for a fee. There are help pages on what BLUP and Skilling is above, and there are training schedules for many breeds of horse. Remember to be trustworthy, and it helps to make a trustworthy topic in your forum, which will attract more customers if they know you are trustworthy. Try to get the horse trained/BLUPed/skilled quickly, as this will also attract more customers. When deciding on the price you're going to charge, remember to include the cost of actually training the horse.
→ Buy cheap high GP horses, BLUP them, and sell them
You can buy many incredibly cheap, high GP horses in the sales. Buy a few, BLUP them, and sell them on for a high price. People pay a lot for a horse with high skills, so remember to price your horse right! There is help on how to BLUP and training schedules in the menu above.
